Getting underway for 2019

Just a short post to get things rolling for the 2019 cruising season. Those of you on Facebook would have seen a post from us after we had moored up after our first day back out on the 'cut', we posted that on Sunday.

Serafina needed to have a few of the 'systems' tested in the marina before we headed out for the season. Nothing worse than getting a few days down the track and realising you need new batteries or there's an engine issue, etc. We spent four days in the marina on board but off the landline (electricity).

Finally out and about and knocking over the first lock of the season with a few left to go for the day.

It's been a slow cruise as we make our way to Stone where Serafina is booked in to be taken out of the water and have the hull blacked. An overnight stop on the way at Hem Heath also called Trentham.

A stroll after mooring up for just over a mile to the Trentham Gardens Outlets for some retail therapy.

There are plenty of swans and their cygnets around, I could fill the blog up with cygnet and duckling pictures. This nest was just down the tow path from our mooring.
